According to the Daily Southern African Tourism Update, South African Airways Vacations (SAAV) has what Americans want: adventure travel to Africa. The daily newsletter about all things having to do with travel to Southern Africa recently featured a series of articles specifically geared at what American travelers want. One of the articles was centered on a package SAAV has tailored to active Americans who want more from their travels than just a change of scenery.
The Active Africa – Adrenaline Adventure package is geared toward getting out and experiencing the amazing nature and activities that South Africa has to offer. It’s an 11-day adventure that includes kayaking, bicycling, paragliding, shark cage diving, 4×4 beach excursions, guide-led walking safaris and more. The activities take place in Cape Town, along the Whale Coast in Gansbaai and at the infamous Kruger National Park.
The package includes international airfare from New York or Washington D.C., flights in South Africa per the itinerary, all accommodations, all breakfasts and some other meals for just $4,999 per person (see terms and conditions for validity dates).
The Daily Southern African Tourism Update also referred to the Active Africa – Adrenaline Adventure package as one of the five best products for Americans, according to a survey of its readers. Check out the complete list here.
In addition, the series includes an article about five trends affecting the U.S. travel market, such as the increase in multi-generational travel and sustainable travel.
