Day 1
Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington Dulles (IAD) for your South African Airways flight to South Africa.
Day 2
On arrival in Johannesburg take the shuttle bus to your hotel.

Day 3
Depart on your flight from Johannesburg to Livingstone in Zambia. On arrival you will be met and transferred by road to your camp. Toka Leya Camp lies on the banks of the great Zambezi River in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, about 12km upstream from Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. From here it is the perfect base to enjoy a tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, game drives within Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park which offer sightings of game such as buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala impala and possibly rhino or the occasional predator; river cruises, fishing excursions and guided nature walks. Tours of Livingstone town and museum and visits to Mkuni Market and Simonga Village are all the perfect way to learn about the people and culture of this part of Zambia. There is a rich abundance of birdlife which can be enjoyed within the confines of the camp itself, on boat cruises and out on game drives. The Zambezi River offers some fishing opportunities and tiger fishing is an unforgettable challenge for avid fishermen, particularly during the warmer months (October - December).

Day 4
The twelve tent interiors boast cool wooden flooring, tasteful, uncluttered African décor in earthy tones, climate-control for a cool summer sanctuary, expansive wooden deck from which to soak up the views of the Zambezi River, often to the sights and sounds of birds, elephant and grunting hippo.

Day 5
After breakfast depart on your morning road transfer to Livingstone Airport where you connect on a light air transfer to Kafue National Park. Busanga Bush Camp, lies well hidden in a vegetated tree-island of sycamore fig trees in the Kafue National Park which overlooks the Busanga Plains. Activities include game drives, walking safaris and night drives, led by qualified guides who are extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. As the plains dry out, this camp is perfectly situated to see large numbers of plains game such as puku, red lechwe, buffalo and wildebeest, followed by their predators, most notably lion. Cheetah and wild dog are also to be seen, while a special treat is the resident herd of roan antelope. For those interested in birding, the park boasts 491 species, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet.

Day 6
The camp, hidden in a well vegetated tree-island of sycamore fig trees, can accommodate eight guests in four well-appointed tents. The lounge and bar area is under canvas with an uninterrupted view out over the plains; breakfast is often served here to take in the view of herds of lechwe and puku feeding. A little further back is the dining area, shaded by the canopy of a majestic tree from which an unusual lantern chandelier hangs, romantically lighting up dinner; most meals are served in the open air.

Day 7
After breakfast, take a helicopter transfer to Busanga Airstrip. Here you will depart by light aircraft to Lusaka Airport. On arrival in Lusaka transfer by road to Chirundu, where you take a 5 hour boat transfer to your camp. Ruckomechi Camp is situated on the western boundary of Mana Pools National Park, which lies in the heart of the Zambezi Valley. The camp is shaded by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees and with a superb view of the mountains of Africa's Great Rift Valley across the river in Zambia. Activities include wildlife viewing in open 4x4 vehicles, on motorized pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes. The area is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are all found in the area. Birdlife is superb, particularly for both mopane woodland and riverine species with numerous local specials like Collared Palm-Thrush, Racket-tailed Roller, Purple-banded Sunbird and Black-throated Wattle-Eyes.

Day 8
Ruckomechi Camp accommodates guests in ten spacious en-suite tented units, including a honeymoon suite, all of which overlook the Zambezi River. Each tent has both indoor and outdoor showers, and the camp boasts a favorite amongst guests: its outdoor 'bath-with-a-view' in a secluded, scenic spot. The central dining, bar, library and lounge areas face the escarpment and are connected to the rest of the camp by low-level walkways that minimize the environmental impact. There is a separate deck with infinity pool for swimming and sun bathing, and an inviting, cushion-strewn star gazing deck.

Day 9
After breakfast depart by boat to Chirundu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by road to Lusaka Airport in time for your onward flight to Johannesburg and the USA.
