Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington Dulles (IAD) for your South African Airways flight to South Africa.

Day 2

On arrival in Johannesburg, take the shuttle bus to your hotel.

Day 3

Depart from Johannesburg for your flight to Windhoek in Namibia. On arrival you will be met and transferred by light aircraft to your camp. Little Kulala is a luxurious desert retreat situated in the private 37 000-hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve - the gateway to Namibia's Sossusvlei, situated in the Namib Desert and home to the world's tallest dunes. Set amongst ancient camel thorn trees on the dry Auab riverbed, Little Kulala offers top class facilities and charming hospitality. Activities at Little Kulala start with morning guided drives to the spectacular towering dunes of Sossusvlei, through a private gate into the reserve. Guided drives and walks are also offered on the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve with incredible views, desert-adapted wildlife and plants.

Day 4

Accommodation at Little Kulala consists of 11 climate-controlled, thatched "kulalas" word means 'to sleep') which merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape, with exquisite fittings and fixtures, and innovative bleached decks - each with a private plunge pool. Each kulala has a rooftop 'skybed' for romantic stargazing, with both indoor and outdoor showers. Little Kulala features an elegant entertainment area which includes a library, wine cellar, craft boutique, lounge and dining areas. Dining under the clear Namibian skies is a highlight. The interiors have been designed to provide an all-natural and unique experience in this most beautiful environment. The extensive use of neutral colors, gorgeous textures and natural light reproduce the soothing pastel tones of the desert. Pure linens, cottons and mohair dyed with natural vegetable dyes all make for a very organic camp which takes its inspiration from its surroundings, notably from the magnificent Dead Vlei in the middle of Sossusvlei. Day 5

After breakfast depart on your light aircraft transfer to Damaraland. Damaraland Camp is situated in the Huab River Valley, 56 miles from Torra Bay in the Torra Conservancy. It is lauded as one of the country's best camps, with sensational views of the surrounding desert plains, valleys and the Brandberg Mountains. With the natural cycle of rainfall dictating the movement of wildlife along the Huab River, large game is not concentrated year round. Activities at Damaraland Camp revolve around exploring the Haub River system, featuring guided nature drives, walks and mountain biking. Morning and afternoon drives in search for desert-adapted elephant are a great favorite. Gemsbok, greater kudu, springbok, and occasionally lion, cheetah, elephants and black rhino can be spotted. Interesting flora such as euphorbias and shepherd's trees can be viewed on the way to some of Africa's best known rock engravings, including the famous Twyfelfontein etchings.

Day 6

Accommodation at Damaraland Camp comprises of 10 thatched units each raised on individual wooden platforms with a viewing deck to enjoy the magnificent vistas. Each tent has en-suite facilities as well as a walk in dresser and built–in fan to keep you cool. The spacious, thatched living area features a restaurant and bar, complete with fireplace. Evening meals at Damaraland Camp are often prepared over an open fire and served outside. The swimming pool is conveniently situated next to the bar. An open campfire and outdoor 'boma' can be enjoyed during the evenings, with superb stargazing in the crystal-clear night skies.

Day 7

After breakfast, transfer by light aircraft to your camp. Located in the much-lauded Ongava Game Reserve to the south of the Etosha National Park, it overlooks a nearby waterhole to which a plethora of wildlife congregates to drink. Etosha National Park is Namibia's premier wildlife destination and one of Africa's largest game reserves. Large herds of wildlife teem around the waterholes and the endless plains offer breathtaking vistas. Activities at Ongava Tented Camp revolve around day and night game viewing drives, visiting hides that overlook waterholes and walks with experienced guides. The Ongava Game Reserve features much of the characteristic wildlife of the area, with both desert-adapted black and white rhino to be seen as well as lion.

Day 8

Constructed from stone, canvas and thatch, Ongava Tented Camp accommodates 16 guests in eight large comfortable Meru-style tents - all with en-suite facilities, open air showers and private verandas. Relaxation at Ongava Tented Camp typically takes place around the main area with its relaxing bar and swimming pool, watching the wildlife that come to drink at the waterhole.

Day 9

After breakfast depart on your final transfer by air to Windhoek Airport for your onward flight to Johannesburg and the USA.
