Day 1

Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington Dulles (IAD) for your South African Airways flight to South Africa.

Day 2

On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, connect with your onward flight on South African Airways to Mozambique. You will be met on arrival at Beira International Airport by a representative who will assist you with your road transfer. Leaving Beira behind, you will head to the Gorongosa National Park where you will spend the first 3 nights of your African vacation.

Day 3

The luxury safari experiences, Explore Gorongosa, are the first private safari offerings within Mozambique’s Gorongosa Park. Explore Gorongosa provides guests with a first hand insight into the visionary restoration project underway within the Park, through walking, drives and night drives. Guests will be introduced to this amazing yet fragile ecosystem. The highly experienced regional guides will lead guests on this wonder-safari through the ever changing eco- zones, incredible birding and abundant game viewing opportunities of Gorongosa.

Day 4

Full day on safari at Gorongosa in search of Africa’s famed wildlife.

Day 5 (THIS DAY HAS TO BE A MONDAY OR FRIDAY)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Bazaruto Island. On arrival on Bazaruto you transfer to your lodge and settle in for a relaxing beach break on the Indian Ocean

Day 6

Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa is the archetypical tropical island paradise surrounded by palm trees, white sand and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Bazaruto Island is a paradise waiting to be discovered. The island of Bazaruto is approximately 37km long and 7km at its widest point. It is a beautiful holiday destination and is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. The impressive beauty of the surrounding coral reefs is enriched by the stunning diversity of the tropical fish. It is one of the best spots for catching marlin, kingfish and other large game fish. The lodge caters for nature lovers, adrenaline junkies and those simply in need of pampering at their luxurious spa. Enjoy breakfast before being transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Vilanculos Airport where you will connect on a flight to Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg you will connect onwards on South African Airways to the United States.

Day 11

Arrival in the United States at New York JFK or Washington Dulles airports.

NOTE: This tour can begin in Washington Dulles instead of New York, however, this would necessitate an overnight stop in Johannesburg at the beginning of the journey before flying to Beira. Please contact us for prices for this option.
