Day 1

Depart from New York (JFK) or Washington Dulles (IAD) for your South African Airways flight to South Africa.

Day 2

On arrival in Johannesburg connect with your domestic flight to Cape Town.

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3

Over the next two days, enjoy the adventure as you explore and discover the scenic beauty of the Cape Peninsula and winelands of the Western Cape.

Today embark on a full day Cape Peninsula tour. Follow the Atlantic coast past Clifton, Camps Bay & Llandudno, to the fishing village at Hout Bay. Here you have the option of doing a 1/2-hour scenic boat ride to visit an impressive seal colony, then it’s on and over Chapman's Peak Drive, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. We take mountain bikes along for those who wish to get out of the bus and smell the sea air and the many flowers. You can cycle as much or as little as you like, as the support van is always nearby. For real fresh air there is also a short cliff top hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope. We have a picnic lunch somewhere in the reserve and return home via a rare colony of Jackass penguins at Boulders Beach on the Indian Ocean.

Day 4

This is a truly mellow day spent absorbing the rich beauty and history of the greater Cape Winelands. We visit Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek, with a cellar tour in one, and tastings in each region. Enjoy spectacular views during a sumptuous picnic lunch with some cycling amongst the vineyards – nothing too taxing, just enough to get a little exercise and make you even more thirsty! By the time you return you should be feeling pretty rosy!

Day 5

Today depart on the thrill of all thrills...a trip to see the Great White! Seeing the greatest and one of the oldest animals on the planet is truly a unique, awe-inspiring and a humbling experience. Most people arrive with fear and trepidation and leave with admiration and a newfound respect for these majestic animals. Experience the thrill of being underwater and surrounded by Great White Sharks! Feel the exposure of free diving while remaining safe inside the cage, or participate from the boat and see the Great White Shark in all its magnificence. Trips are weather dependent, last approximately 4 hours and your launch time will be confirmed well in advance of your trip.

Day 6

After breakfast transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to George.

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in Knysna.

Knysna, a place of remarkable beauty, is pristinely situated on the coast. The area is famous for its forests, breathtaking ocean views and tranquil ambient surroundings.

Renowned as the perfect holiday destination, the hotel is set on the Knysna Quays Waterfront with the lagoon at your doorstep. This property is stylishly decorated with sheer comfort assured. Facing the warm Indian Ocean through the Knysna Heads, the hotel offers a tranquil stay in spacious rooms overlooking the magical Knysna lagoon and the historical train station.

Enjoy a trip to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, a unique 150 ha private nature reserve, which encompasses the whole of the Western Head of Knysna and is one of South Africa's Natural Heritage Sites. It is a pristine piece of paradise and is accessible by ferry only. This spectacular four hour eco-experience includes a return ferry trip, nature drive and guided walk, ending with a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Food Forest Restaurant.

Day 7

You will be met after breakfast by your guide for a day of adventure.

Begin with your Zip Line Canopy tour, the first of its kind in Africa. The canopy tour involves traversing from one platform to another along a steel cable suspended up to 30 meters above the forest floor! Most platforms are located in giant Outeniqua Yellowwood trees. The scenery and bird life is spectacular and professional guides provide interesting facts about the forest ecology. Continue to Tsitsikama National Park where you take in views and cross the swing bridge at Storms River.

A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route.

Day 8

After breakfast transfer to George Airport for your flight to Johannesburg and onward flight to the USA.
